Hi there!
I’m Micaela — a poet, essayist, and social media strategist for writers. I help literary creatives translate their careers into digital brands that match and elevate their work, using social media strategy, hands-on video editing, graphic design, and visual storytelling.
My literary journey began with a love of storytelling that led me to earn an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Baltimore. Since then, my poetry has appeared in numerous literary magazines, and my essays have been published on platforms like HuffPost and Slate.
Since 2018, I’ve worked in social media marketing, helping two agencies launch their social media offerings. In 2022, after successfully self-promoting my own poetry chapbook, CUT THE LIGHTS, exclusively through social media, I launched my own business.
Today, I run Micaela Writes Poems LLC, providing social media marketing and digital assistant services for writers. From managing accounts to crafting compelling visual content and building audience engagement strategies, I help writers of all levels share their work with the world — without sacrificing their creative voice.
